Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to identify the challenges and strategies for the development of women's volleyball in Iran.The statistical population consisted of 15elites and150coaches,experts, athletes and managers of volleyball teams.The sampling method was108using the Cochran's formula.In5components in challenges as well as solutions and consequences of this development were evaluated with20questions.Content and face validity were confirmed by professors and its reliability was obtained by Cronbach's alpha test of 0.83. Poor talent identification index in girls 'schools to identify volleyball elites with71%,environmental challenge component index of lack of places and sports facilities for women with86%, in social challenges component index of families' view of women's volleyball sport only as a hobby index with81%, in cultural component.Work by spectators with84%,in the component of solutions, the index of selection of technical and competent officials in the Women's Volleyball Federation with a special focus on women with84% and the component of outcomes also showed the index of creating a policy for professional women's volleyball planning with84% of the highest correlation between the mentioned components. The most influential component with a path coefficient of 0.850 and a value of t(4.568)is the strategy component and the least effective component with a path coefficient of 0.519and a value of t(3.208)is the cultural component.To evaluate these contracts and make the right decisions to solve these problems, then by creating the infrastructure to select the appropriate managers in the management positions of women's sports and create appropriate financial bases for the construction of sports facilities for women.
