In recent years, innovative sports technologies have become essential tools for enhancing athlete performance and developing sports infrastructure. SMOPod, an interactive technology-based device, is designed to measure and analyze reaction time, neuromuscular coordination, and motor balance. This study employs a mixed-methods approach and qualitative content analysis to examine the potential market, practical applications, and marketing strategies for SMOPod in Iran. In the first phase, a competitor analysis revealed that similar products, such as FitLight and BlazePod, primarily target the professional sports and rehabilitation markets. In the second phase, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 10 experts in sports science and sports marketing. The findings indicate that SMOPod can establish a unique position in Iran’s market by focusing on six key areas: professional sports, rehabilitation, research and education, children’s training, specialized occupations, and sports advertising. Additionally, marketing strategies such as collaboration with top coaches, organizing educational events, gamification, and digital advertising were proposed for market expansion. Ultimately, the study suggests that, beyond competing with similar foreign products, SMOPod can achieve sustainable growth in Iran’s sports industry by leveraging local opportunities and innovative marketing models.
