Abstract
The purpose of this research was to investigate factors affecting the performance of Qazvin province athletes in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and the 2026 Nagayo Asian Games. The present research method was qualitative. The statistical population of this research includes the deputy staff of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the deputy staff of the General Directorate of Sports and Youth of Qazvin province, the committee of directors of the National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the presidents, governors and secretaries of 33 sports federations and sports committees of Qazvin province present in the Asian Games and the Olympics, experts, veterans, coaches and athletes of Qazvin province's sports fields (especially people knowledgeable about the research topic) and faculty members of physical education and sports sciences (especially people knowledgeable about the research topic). The number of the statistical sample continued until the theoretical saturation was reached (27 people) for the interview. The presented model was designed based on the sport success model of de Bosscher et al. (2006) in 2 levels of input and process and with 14 concepts and 229 indicators. The input part included 6 concepts: sports,, political, economic,, socio-cultural,, technology,, media. And the process part included 8 concepts: Organisation and structure of sport policies, basic sports development, Talent identification and development system, athlete and athlete support, sports facilities and equipment,, coaching and development and empowerment of coaches, national and international competitions and scientific-research development.
