Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between entrepreneurship and organizational performance in sport and youth offices of Iran’s northern provinces. Research method was the type of correlation and the statistical population included of all managers, deputies and experts of the sport and youth offices in Iran’s northern provinces (Guilan, Mazandaran and Golestan) and managers and deputies from five selected cities. Due to the limited population, the statistical sample was considered as a whole. For this purpose, organizational entrepreneurship and organizational performance questionnaires were used. Descriptive and inferential statistics methods were utilized for data analysis. Research results indicated that there was a positive and significant correlation between dimension organizational entrepreneurship and organizational performance in sport and youth offices of Iran’s northern provinces. According to the linear relationship among variables and the assumption of errors independence from each other, predictor variables (organizational entrepreneurship) revealed 55% changes in the rate of organizational performance. The two components creativity and management structure of organizational entrepreneurship have greater share of the anticipated organizational performance. Totally, according to the findings of this research suggest that, managers of creative, innovative and risk-taking in organizational posts use and new ideas encourage.
