Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between social capital and knowledge management in general office of Sports and Youth of Fars province. Research method was the type of descriptive-correlation and the statistical population included of all experts of this office in the year 1392 (N= 137). According to Kocran table, 103 subjects constituted the study statistical sample (n=103). For this purpose, social capital and knowledge management questionnaires were used that reliability by Cronbach's alpha was (α=0.826 & 0.857). Descriptive and inferential statistics methods were utilized for data analysis. Research results indicated that social capital and knowledge management, general office was located in the low level. Also, there was a positive and significant correlation between social capital and knowledge management. Also, had a significant positive relationship between the dimensions of social capital with all dimensions of knowledge management. According to the linear relationship among variables and the assumption of errors independence from each other, predictor variables (social capital) revealed 52% changes in the rate of knowledge management. Totally, according to the findings of this research, it is recommended that the Officials and policymakers general office of sports and youth to pay special attention to the staff social capital dimensions and provide creative and innovative ways to improve the structure and knowledge of the organization in order to achieve have a learner organization.
