Abstract
From a theoretical perspective, this study demonstrates that streamers are not merely content producers but actors situated at the intersection of platform algorithmic logic, audience expectations, and broader cultural–economic structures. The findings extend the concept of emotional labor within the digital attention economy and reveal that the continuous management of emotions transforms psychological burnout into a structural component of streaming work. Furthermore, streamers generate everyday forms of digital resistance through strategies such as multi-platform engagement, identity boundary-setting, and the redefinition of occupational legitimacy. Within the Iranian context, cultural legitimacy emerges as a critical factor; therefore, psychological support, the development of domestic infrastructures, and culturally informed policymaking are essential.
