Abstract
This research aimed to analyze factors affecting the occurrence and expansion of the phenomenon of Silent Bullying in sports organizations. This research employed a descriptive-exploratory approach, utilizing the Glaserian grounded theory methodology to develop a theoretical understanding rooted in empirical data. Before interviews, a preliminary list of potential factors influencing silent bullying was compiled through an extensive literature review. The interviews, ranging from 35 to 60 minutes, were conducted both in-person and online. In adherence to grounded theory principles, data collection and analysis were conducted concurrently. Each interview was transcribed, analyzed, and coded iteratively, with emerging findings guiding subsequent interviews and participant selection. This iterative process continued until theoretical saturation was achieved after 15 interviews, though 18 individuals were ultimately interviewed to ensure thoroughness. The comprehensive qualitative analysis yielded a rich dataset, from which 126 distinct concepts (codes) were extracted. These concepts were systematically categorized into 22 sub-categories, which in turn converged into seven overarching main categories. These categories collectively represent the multifarious factors influencing the occurrence and proliferation of silent bullying within sports organizations.
