Abstract

Happening of lots of major sport event and survival of many sport organizations depends on volunteers. Many countries use volunteers for improvement of their official plans as well as lots of sport organizations for organizing their major events like Olympic and universal games. So, the aim of this research is developing a patent for sport volunteering management of Iran. To this extent, qualitative research method was conducted through Delphi interviews with experts of sport volunteering management. Theoretical sampling method was used and 12 experts were interviewed. Through Grounded theory and with open coding process, different elements of sport volunteer management were found. Then, these elements formed 6 categories which were managerial, organizational, cultural-social and economic factors, type of event and type of volunteers. Eventually these categories placed in coding paradigm and relation between them was connected. This paradigm includes core phenomena, casual condition, context condition, strategies and consequences. So sport volunteering management patent of Iran was developed.
