Abstract

The aim of the current study was to investigate self-talk, perfectionism, anxiety and coping styles roles in sort performance of judo. The population of present study was all young and adult judo athletes of east Azarbayjan. Among them 162 athletes were selected by available sampling. Data were gathered using Competitive State Anxiety Inventory (CSAI), Self-Talk Questionnaire (S-TQ), Perfectionism Questionnaire, Coping styles Questionnaire (CSQ). SPSS-20 and AMOS-20 was used for data were analysis. There was used Structural equation Modeling (SEM) for fitness of suggested model. Some of fitness indexes suggested that the model needs modification and to this aim, some non significant paths canceled and some new paths were added. Final model, with regard to fitness indexes and Chi-square had good efficacy. The final model showed that Positive perfectionism has the most direct effect and total effect and Cognitive self-talk had the most indirect effect on sport performance.
