چکیده [English]

The purpose of the present paper is to analyze factors affecting the efficiency of football coaches and players at basic level in Iran. In terms of methodology, the study is an applied survey research carried out in the form of field study. The population of the study consists of all young and Omid (under 23) football players in Iran, but, unfortunately, their number was not known to us due to lack of information. Therefore, the Cochran formula for infinite population was used to determine the sample size which consisted of 2000 individuals. The research instrument used in this study was questionnaire of feltz and et al (1999) that was re-validated using exploratory factor analysis. The resulting data were analyzed using statistical methods of exploratory factor analysis and path analysis by spss and amos software. Factor analysis results showed that in general four factors accounted for about 89% of the variances. The results of the present study showed that motivational factors had the highest impact (0.503) on increasing player efficiency. The results also showed that motivational factors had the highest positive effect (0.489) on the efficiency of football coaches at basic levels in Iran. Therefore, it is recommended that basic level football coaches in the country find out the importance of motivational factors on their own and their players’ efficiency.
