Thematic Analysis to Identify the Reasons for the Success of Sports Heroes in Bandar Anzali

Abstract
The issue of sports success has always been of interest to athletes, coaches, people or sports fans and researchers in the field of sports. Consequently, championship sports as a social phenomenon and one of the scientific and specialized systems have many values. Along with increasing attention to championship sports, sports science has also come to the aid of athletes to pave the way for them to improve performance and success. Due to the nature of the subject and the lack of in-depth study in the field of sports success in the country, a qualitative approach was selected as the research method of the present study. This research was conducted by thematic analysis method (themes), purposive sampling method and semi-structured interviews. Data were also analyzed using open and axial coding method. Findings showed that sports success factors include 17 sub-categories that are summarized in 4 main categories of psychological factors, technical and physical ability, material and organizational factors and environmental factors. These topics are presented to the participants in the interview and after review. Sequences and comparisons with similar research are discussed.
